velocity micro order immenant *glee*

so i've been reading this forum for close to a month now, and since i just finally decided on a model and will probably order tomorrow, i realized its about time to post something.
i'm going with a velocity micro notemagix b50. its got better performance than the voodoo m:360 (same case) at a significantly lower cost. here's my configuration:
-1.7ghz pentium m
-1024mb ram
-60gb 7200rpm hard drive
-128mb ATI radeon 9700
-2x DVD-R, etc.
-external soundblaster audigy 2nx
-802.11b/g wireless
-windows xp pro
-3-year warranty
...all for only a nice round $3333.
and then there's $100 off of that.
pretty nice deal if you ask me.
by the way, i'm getting the smoke gray color and i'm seeing about a matching mouse.
oh yeah, and the thing is dothan compatible, so i can upgrade to a 2.0ghz in a little while.
i'm pumped. the wait's gonna suck.
any comments? anybody with last-second info to sway my choice?
hey, and thanks to everyone for unknowingly helping me select this machine.

did you get that with one of their paintjobs also?

You've only got supposedly 12 days to wait for the 2.0 if you wanted to wait.

yeah, but is that 12 days before the release of the processor, or will they be immediately avaliable in systems?

and i'm getting the smoke grey color. i hope its a little unique looking.

just ordered it, and in honor of it, created signature.
and i changed my mind to black on the color.
meh.

I hope you're rich. You just ordered the 1.7GHz PM with your system. why pay all the money for the processor you'll just take out and upgrade later. And unless you need the laptop immediately, it would have been smartest to get the Dothan with your system.

Yea i agree with tourney. I would go with a 1.3 or 1.4ghz since Dothan will be out in two weeks. Im assuming you can live with the slightly slower 1.3 or 1.4 processors for 2 weeks.

true, but its a graduation present from my uncle, so i'm just getting the best i can get for now and then i'll get the upgrade down the road sometime. i'm sure the performance difference is negligible, but it'll be at least a year before i want to send it in for a new processor.

hey do could you post some pictures when it arrives please? Along with some impressions I have my eye on the B50 too. Thanks,

Wow, your uncle is really lucky. I don't even buy my uncle cards for his birthday/christmas. I take out a piece of printer paper and write "happy birthday" in marker.
