Best Buy had the basic ASUS models on sale a couple weeks ago for $199, with 1 Gig Ram and 8 Gig hard drive.
But Dell is offering a Presiden'ts Day sale for $199 with 512 MB and 4 Gig HD. To get it up to par with the ASUS brand would be $239 with a .3 MP camera and more memory and HD space.
However, my personal preference is the MSI Wind U100, 1 Gig RAM and 160 Gig HD, running XP, not Ubuntu. It's basically the closest netbook to a real laptop versus these mini net surfers with little memory and hard disk space. But at $329, almost $100 more.
Just wondering if any of you took advantage buying a netbook for $199 and what you thought, and if they were worth considering at this price.
