When You Dont Have Money To Spend Is Hard To Find A Gaimng Laptop

[right][center][left][font="Times New Roman"][size="7"]I've been searching 24/7 for a gaming laptop, my choices we narrowed to this 2, because of their price.

MSI GX630, AMD Athlon QL62, 4Gb of RAM, Nvidia 9600m GT DDR3 for 800$. Its a 15" inch with a resolution of 1200x800 .

My second choice is labeled as an entertainment laptop, but as I see it... the specs tell me it can make a good gaming. Its the MSI EX623, P7350 Centrino2duo, 4GB of RAM, NVIDIA 9500M GS DDR2 for 800$. Its a 16"inch with a resolution of 1366x788.

I' m aware that the centrino2duo destroys the old Amd athlon, but I also know the NVIDIA 9600m GT DDR3 has an advantage over the NVIDIA 9500M GS DDR2. I plan to play games like cod4, crysis, fear, etc. I don't want them to be in really low or very high settings, but something decent. I know CPU does not influence gaming as much as its GPU, but I don't wanna stick with the old athlon, I m not gonna be playing forever, but for now I do wanna play, so help!!!! Plzzzzzzzz

AMD fan here and sucker for better graphic card, so I vote for the AMD MSI

cheers ...

there's enough difference between graphics cards that it would make up for a weaker CPU in games. I'd agree with Q - get the first one.

Is there a way to upgrade the processor of msi gx630?

If you can wait and save just 200 more dollars you open up alot of options:

I dont see why not, if the CPU has the same foot print and the BIOS can support it.

i see nobody liked the msi ex623, its the only laptop that carries a 45nm effecient
processor and the new centrino 2 core2 duo, which improves wireless and battery settings and beats all of them in performance, but the graphics card is inferior..
i completeley agree, but is it that inferior?

Well, we were taling about the number games above. If you insist that the C2D CPU is better than the AMD CPU, then it is ok also, as you prefer. There were only personal opinions ;-)

My take is CPU alone does not make a whole system, as far as C2D CPU "makes" wireless or battery life better, it is still debatable, since we must add in the drivers, the OS and oh la la ...

cheers ...

DDR3 changes everything, if the 9600m GT was DDR2, then I would most likely get the msi ex623, but is such a hard decision, performance vs gaming.... :-(.............

Hard decision between Performance and Gaming? I always believe that these 2 go hand in hand, non?

:-) you are right they do go together, i just see that intel hasnt made 32nm chipset yet, which they are just around the corner, but i see a better fututre with the intel chipset, athlon stopped being produced in 2005 :-(. but if u can just check out reviews of this laptops, and u can even check them on msi website, just act like you were the one who was going to purchase it.

cheer to you too, lol
