hp nx5000 will not run wireless hp w500 in vista
I see people running the hp wlan w500 in vista on the net.
The chip on the mini pci w500 is ar5212a 00 made by atheros
I have downloaded almost every driver from www.hp.com and none have worked.
The driver has been digitally signed and works but I can not connect to the network with the vista network and sharing center
I think I need the ATHEROS CLIENT UTILITY for vista. I only see it for xp so far.
I read a bunch of info in the hp website about people using the vista drivers by Atheros. 5004x or 5004g. this did not work. The driver does work but the vista does not find the wireless device in the network connection utility
If anyone knows which driver works for vista. I would appreciate the info!
