Ultimate Laptop - Page 2

hypersonic isnt selling sagers

they both use the sam odm for some laptops but confuse one with the other. there is a huge difference between sager and hypersonic.

resellerratings: hypersonic-pc: 9.20 sager: 4.58.

Uriel....

http://www.sagernotebook.com/pages/n...oductType=5690

They both sell the same notebooks which I already established as coming from Clevo, yet our friend rach calls them Sagers so I went with that name.

They also sell the 8790 and the 8890, and the 4780 as well as the 5690 which I just showed.

i know all that i just wanted to point out that those were odm barebones (CLevo) and not Sagers

try powernotebooks.com

unless you're enthatchuated with the 1000 dollar paint job, i reccomend a sager too. you can always dress it up yourself!

so which is better? hypersonic or sagar? and i take it alienware is better then neither of them?
Well, in my opinion, if they all sell Clevo laptops, the best is the cheapest.

It is as simple as that.

Now, if you want to pay more just for funny looking paint job that's up to you but personnally I find the Alienware very expensive for what they are, painted Clevos.

hypersonic is better. they have a better customer service. their resellerrating is double the sagers. offer much more than sager (dead pixel policy is better, platinum waranty that includes 2 way overnight shipping if they screwed up, artic silver 5 thermal paste...).

I had the opportunity to buy a system from hypersonic once, and their customer support was great. I have no complaints about them.

BTW: Alienware no longer uses Clevo models.

Sorry, my mistake.

That shows how little I'm interested in their products

I would go with Hypersonic. The only bad thing I have ever heard about them is that their ship date has gone over when they expeted, but that happens at other companies also.

i dont know, probably but i dont mind
besides, its a mobile desktop replacement, its supposed to be fully loaded and heavy

it's obviously a killer system. All it is, is desktop components put into a laptop. You'll be lucky if it isn't more than 10lbs. However, this laptop has the Prescott chip which should worry you slightly. First of all, these processors become hot enough to cook on. If you're doing extreme gaming be sure not to place the laptop on your lap or you'll be rushed to the emergency room. Also, keep it away from wood because it's prone to causing fires. The fans will be extrememly loud in a desperate attempt to cool the processor.

You should read the whole thread first, and youd see that this guy wants a desktop replacement, not some pansy Pentium-M notebook.

Sounds real good to me, that is the top of the line system out in the market today. However, might that 3.4 be a little to hot, like Tourney said?

As long as it's a northwood and not a prescott it should be fine. (Though I doubt it's a prescott considering their rarity at the moment)
