...this article really makes the Calpella sound nice: http://www.brighthub.com/computing/h...les/26620.aspx. The Turbo Boost Technology and other power management functions sound nice for notebooks

Although, it does say near the end that, besides the power management, the i7 benefits aren't necessarily that big of a boon for gamers...

Reading that article and especially the one it linked to about Intel holding off the Calpella release until October due to lack of demand made me rather sad, as it seems this year isn't going to be as much the ideal time to buy a new notebook as I had previously thought. Not that I can afford one (or technically need a new one) at the moment, but my computer is 4 years old, and I can relate, at least somewhat, to the desire to upgrade.

Tell me about it. All of the articles I've read make it sound like a pretty significant change in processor/chipset technology. I'd be willing to wait until June, even July; but Q4 would be a long long wait.

At least my waffling has saved me the pain of ordering a 5797 just before the GTX 280M became standard on it. I've seen benchmarks and reviews, but has anyone here seen both gpus in action on otherwise similar systems?
