Compaq Presario F700 audio driver issues

Hey, I have a Compaq Presario F700 that I downgraded the OS from Vista to Windows XP Black Edition, and it wont recognize my audio device, which is Conexant High Definition Audio. The error message states that whenever I try to install, update, or force a driver for this device, it comes up Could not find media device for this driver. I'm new at this, so I could use a little help to get my sound working again.

Search the HP support site for XP patch of High Definition Audio. Then reinstall the driver.
