Acer Aspire 6530g making a crackling sound.

i recently bought the notebook, after a month it was fine nothing went

wrong, then in the pass couple weeks i've notice that a "crackling"

sound comes on when i play music, this also happens when my

headphones are plugged in. Strangely enough the crackling sound only

happens when my charger is unplug, when i put the charger in, the

crackling sound stops. Is there a way to fix this?

sounds like it could be a driver issue. for now, try changing you power profile to high performance or balanced while on battery. if that solves the problem it could be something to do with the cpu frequency slowing down on battery.

you may want to go to www.realtek.com.tw and download the newest drivers for the realtek HD audio codec. when you install it the driver will uninstall the old drivers, then prompt for a reboot, after it boots back up you will then have to run it again to install the new drivers. just read the prompts carefully and it should not be an issue.

Go to downloads on that site>then HD Audio Codecs (SoftwareP
Then press one of the "go" beside this driver "Vista Driver(32/64 bits) Driver only (Executable file)"
