i want to completely roll back my computer to like it was when it was bought. how do you do that.

Got recovery/restore CDs? That is the surest bet.

Call Dell, if you cannot find the proper key. It should tell you
before it boots into windows.

Go to Dells support site. You should be able to find something there. I would format the disk and start clean.

Yeah guys, D600's as well as ALL Latitudes did not get the recovery partition like the consumer systems. Only way to roll back to factory is to get a Dell Windows disc and the drivers from support.dell.com.

To begin the windows setup process, just press F12 on the POST screen and then press any key to boot from CD.
