Inspiron 1520 LCD Replacement

Thread Starter
I've recently cracked my 1440 X 900 LCD. I've often hooked up my laptop to higher resolution displays with no issue. It has the 8600 gt mobile graphics adapter and my question is what are the chances of being able to install one of the aftermarket higher resolutions displays? Higher resolution was offered at time of purchase and my broken screen was the middle option.

something like this one. http://www.yallstore.com/laptop-scre...ga-p-5097.html

Thanks for looking.

Should work, but do verify that the cable pins fit. In some cases, you might be looking at the inverter that comes with the new screen as well.

cheers ...

As long as the display says it's compatible with an Inspiron 1520 you should be ok, that will at least assure that the display is something your LCD controller will recognize.

However, like QHN mentioned, make sure you get an inverter with the new screen just to be safe.
