Reset and dead..

For the last two weeks my 9860 started to reset itself randomly. Today while I was browsing on web it suddenly reset itself again and while in post screen it shutdown and never opened again.

The leds on the notebook are all OFF. No green or yellow. They are off

So I thought it may be notebook adaptor and changed it with the spare adaptor but no success again.


I disassembled the notebook. No smoke, no melt.. Everything seems fine inside the computer.(it was not hot when reset) I'm sure there should be a fuse or relay that prevenst and stop working it. Anyone have any clue about it?

one of your RAM modules may have gone bad. If you've got 2 modules installed, try taking one out and booting with just the other. If that doesn't work, replace the one you took out and take out the other one, then try booting again. If it works with one module but not with the other, you can probably get the defective one replaced, since most RAM has a lifetime guarantee.

Booting?
Computer does not power ON and the LEDs are all OFF.
I could not understand why RAMs make the LEDs off but I'll give it a try.

My suspect is the DC Jack but the soldering on it seems fine.
