Windows 7... have you tried it?

Have you tried it (the beta)? What are your thoughts? Better than XP... Better than Vista?

Finally, in your opinion is it worth waiting for?

The jury is still out, since it is a beta. Better than XP? than Vista? hard to say, each OS has its own + and - (drivers, backward/forward compatibility ...)

Is it worth waiting for? yes and no. Same question had been asked between XP and Vista

You want to be specific on what your queries are about? Comparing to what you are using?

better than vista..but for now XP is good sans it appearance

I love my Vista, I love Windows7 and will be switching when it comes out. I haven't looked back to XP.. It's dead in my book...been for years.

I am using Win7 on one M1710 and Vista on another M1710. I find that Win7 is just Vista in a new dress.
The more I use Vista/Win7, the more versions of Linux I check out.
MS has not delivered a 'new' os since NT.
