MB881LL/A 13" Macbook spare parts question

Thread Starter
Does anyone know if the MB881LL/A that has the new nvidia 9400 card is directly compatible with spare parts from the ifixit site? I notice they list up to penryn model but the new macbook uses the montevina items.

macbook parts are interchangeable - cpu is a bit more tricky due to software activation.

Do you have a specific part that you are concerned about?

cheers ...

Sorry you are wrong here. There is a definite difference between the several parts in the Unibody models vs the older models(Which are what was mentioned as being on the site).

I see. May be we can collect more information regarding this for users then. An FYI thread per instance?

CPU is a bit more tricky because it's soldered to the logic board/motherboard. If you have the same generation and logic board it should be interchangeable.

You know, I do some pretty detailed soldering on occasion, but I don't even think I would be willing to try desoldering a CPU come to think of it
