I-Pod Touch

I know, this isn't directly related to notebooks, but we all get the point.

What I'm wondering is if anybody has any idea of what the Ipod Touch gen 3 will have in store. Currently my ancient Dell DJ gen 1 is my main use MP3 player which I don't use all that frequently, but it works. I need to change, not to mention that it would be nice to have an MP3 player that can also play movies, browse the internet, tons of cool apps, etc.

So really, I'm debating between waiting for a Touch Gen 3, or just going for the Gen 2. Most likely, there will be some posts saying "do you need it now, if not, wait" well, I don't need the new MP3 with urgency, but it would be nice to get my hands on a new goody. Especially since it would be much easier than lugging around my laptop wherever I want to go, it's like a super compact netbook which I would love.

So, advice please!

I doubt anything much will be added to the next Touch. A camera and GPS would be nice but otherwise the only thing they'll probably do is add a faster processor and higher capacity memory.

Just buy one of the current ones if you need one. They were just updated in September anyway so there most likely won't be anything new for another six months or so.

Am I missing something here? iPOD Touch 3G is already available in Europe, at least I saw (and touch) one in Germany. And no, it is not an iPhone.

There is no iPod Touch 3G. There's the second generation iPod Touch but that's it.

iPod 3G is still invisible.

yep..there is no ipod 3g and there is only iphone 3g..well at this moment u came to know that..
