He's being a bit over-dramatic. I happen to love 7-9. 10 is where they lost me. But everything he talks about in 13 is pretty accurate. the footsteps, the characters, not knowing that the **** is going on... bad story telling.

see the real thing is all the people who made it really good early on are gone. Amano has his own company now, Uematsu has his own company now, Sakaguchi went off to make a Microsoft 2nd-party company, Nasir's pretty much disappeared from the face of the earth, and Kato quit and is now a freelancer. the only good old staff they still have are Tokita and Ito, and neither of them did anything on 13

This is why I like you conda, you have an explanation for the shift in balance in FF games.

That explains so much. Oh well I FFT was the last one I really enjoy. FFTA/A2 were okay but dumbed down way to much with a crappy kiddy story.

I just started Chapter 10. I have 2 months before XIII-2 is released. I'm trying to decide if I will buy it Day 1 or not.
