This is a great laptop ive even upgraded my ram to 4gb and the only problem with it is the fan is too loud and and get extremely hot it has even smelt like something was on fire inside but no smoke just the smell. Does anyone know where can a better fan for inside or some kind of better upgrade. I want to return it to Gateway fro repairs but i have school and need the computer everyday.

Anyone have suggestions?

New machine? Smell from fresh casing? Try using some sort of hardware CPU/FAN control software and see. Blow out the vents?

i checked out speed fan and that is a program if you dont know what your doing which i dont can really mess up your computer. Any other way?

Honestly, if it is still under warranty, send it back and have it fixed correctly.
