My Averatec 1150 stopped charging and sure enough, the power jack was loose. I had it soldered back, but it still doesn't charge.
I called the authorized service company, Fremontek, and explained the problem to the lady on the phone. She was very helpful and pointed me to the replacement power module which I can order for $49.
Does this seem likely to be the problem? I am thinking that maybe when the jack came loose, somehow the little module got fried.
