asus 1000 he doesn't recognize new ram chip

hello,

i just put in a 2gb ram chip. the messages on amazon said to hold the F2 key down right after you turn on the netbook, which i did. i thought something other than the normal boot process was suppose to happen, but nothing happened.

is there another way to get the netbook to recognize the new ram chip?

F2 just gets you into BIOS. You shouldn't have to do anything special when you install RAM.
