Pro-Star 8794/D87p BIOS Update

Hi, I have an older Pro-Star 8794/D87p from Clevo. The newer video drivers cause my video playback to chop all to hell and I've heard that a BIOS update is the solution. My built in digicam won't work without a BIOS update too. Unfortunately Pro-Star is of no help. I think the Sager 8790 BIOS will work since they're both D87p's from Clevo, but I don't know that for absolute certain. I'm hoping someone has tried it and had no issues, or can send me the actual pro-star BIOS update. Thanks for any assistance. =)

Current BIOS Revision
v1.05.00 V122

I believe the newest is
v1.10.00 V122?

Have you tried first with the drivers driect from Clevo site?

I need a BIOS update, which their site doesn't list under downloads. If I revert to drivers from 2004 half my other programs will break. I'd have to switch drivers back and forth to use it for both purposes.

I have tried updating chipset, etc. from both Clevo and Pro-Star. Pro-Star themselves told me the problem lies in the BIOS version, but they can't send me the update for some reason. Misplaced after so long I assume.

I see. You might want to post your thread in the Sager section. Clevo, Pro-Star and Medion share the same footprint, you might want to check out the compatibility of some of the medion.

Let me come back to you after searching the Medion site, if you not find something before.

The hard part is always the "old" BIOS version, many manufacturers are shying away from posting them, unless being requested.
