Hard Drive Upgrade Options - HP NC 6220

Hi,

I have an HP/Compaq nc6220 notebook with a 40GB HDD. I would like to upgrade the HDD to the largest available HDD that is compatible with this notebook. I believe that the current 40 GB HDD is ATA-4. My initial research suggests that a 160GB ATA-6 is the largest HDD that would work with this computer. Is that correct?

That might be correct, considering the age of the comp. You might be also be able to see only 130+ gb, use the rest for another partition.
