Is this bad lcd or something else

With external monitor hooked up it looks perfect .. this is what the screen on laptop looks like now . I only checked to make sure things were plugged in on the lcd . Inverter or maybe cable ?

Well, it is not the inverter. Could it be the cable to the lcd? Possibly so, or the lcd itself.

As it works properly on an external monitor, you can rule out the motherboard/GPU at least.

that is 100% a bad LCD. you can find a replacement on eBay
