ibm thinkpad 380d

i know this is a dinosaur. i recently moved into a new home and this laptop came with the house and i am working on getting it running again.

when i boot it up it comes to a screen that says error 161 163
i googled it and it said it had something to do with the battery and the time and date. i pulled the battery and that didnt help. i cannot find a way to get into the bios. this is pretty much all the info that i have since this was a found computer. i tired booting from a 98 bootdisk but it still goes to the error screen before the disk gets read. any suggestions are welcome. i would like to see if i can get this computer back into working order. the economy sucks right now and i am not working much so i am looking for something to do in my spare time so this looks like fun.
thanks for any help you might have.

From what you have described (did not watch the video), I would say the computer is telling you the date and time needs to be set in the BIOS. The real-time clock battery is probably dead. You can try putting in the main battery, plug in the charger. Give it a couple of hours, then go into the BIOS and set the time and date.
