Peacekeeper Benchmark Tool Decides Safari is the Fastest

Last week, Futuremark's free Peacekeeper Benchmark tool, which measures the performance of the most common internet browsers, decided that the fastest internet browser was Safari (score of 1656), beating out Internet Explorer 7.0 (score of 243) by almost triple the score! In second place, Google's Chrome browser scored a respectable 1558, followed by Opera (662) and Firefox (449). The Peacekeeper benchmark tool can be downloaded here.

yep,just dont tell that to Chrome (or Opera) users

That's interesting. I tried Safari when Apple ported it to Windows and it's slower than Firefox on my computer.

Safari had come a good way, with its v4 release.
