It's officially announced and it's slated for a Winter 09 release!
Hard to imagine considering we haven't seen any images or videos yet. My guess is it will be delayed probably in 2010.

They were okay games, but they weren't terrible. The second game was much better than the first. And the first Max Payne was one of the first games to implement the overused slow-down-bullet time feature.

Very true about the first game, the second one came out at a bad time for me so I only played a little bit of it. I think I should track it down and finish it.

Never played the second one. Really liked the first one. It was a dark and sad story and thats why I liked it. Not to many games out at the time where you used pain killers like an addict and had a hallucination where you followed your own childs blood trail.

They were good games. Because the features of Max Payne have been way overused in the industry (bullet time & ragdoll physics), in hindsight, the game looks mediocre. However, for its time, it was fresh, just like Goldeneye or Medal of Honor. It will be interesting to see if the third one can keep people interested.

The story was unique and so were the comic like pictures depicting the cut scenes. I'll be interested to see if they continue that theme.

Exactly Steve, it was different story telling, the dark story and the gritty atmosphere.

Darq it was pretty f'd up, but so are alot of games now. The f'd up part is what kept me playing, what would they do next.
