Your killin' me!!! I just got a new set of Ping I3+ irons Tuesday, unfortunately I took my woods in to have regripped just before. They will be back today, so I'll finally get to use them somewhere other than the driving range tomorrow.

I was down in Myrtle Beach last year for the first time since I was a kid. Man, I need to get back there this year. Either there or Virginia Beach/Williamsburg.

I can't imagine I could ever get any work done if I lived in North or South Carolina.

Heh,

I just moved up here to Raleigh from Orlando...lots of golf in both places.

I was in Augusta the Monday after the Masters earlier this month. Talk about a Golf town. Even the guys working at the gas station were talking about Phil finally winning one.

I love Busch Gardens! and its only an hour away from the beach plus I can be there in 2hr 30min! IT a great little spot to get away to. Plus Ill need it because the big 30hr Lan party is the weekend before I go.

It sounds like you just pretty much follow the Golf Courses, I need that life

Up here in the Poconos, there are a boat load of courses, but tundra golf isn't always what it's cracked up to be.

When we retire, it will be either Florida, or the Carolinas.

...and it was good to see Phil finally win one, I always hated when they interviewed him, they should have just come right out and ask "so how does it feel to choke on every major", they pretty much said the same thing in disguise.

We make down to Virginia quite a bit. I lived in Springfield when I was a kid, while my father was in the Pentagon. We go to Washington about 4-5 times a year just for weekends. My wife has relatives in Virginia Beach that we visit every couple years for golf. I think we will do that this year. We go play golf for a couple days then go to Shenandoa and camp for the rest of the week. We try to do it every 2 years but we missed last year because we moved. We like it in the middle of the summer because it's like 75 in the mountains and 90 in the valley.

I think we will play in Williamsburg this year, they have great golf from what I've hear. We lived in Springfield when Busch Gardens was being constructed (maybe '74,'75??), but they only had small rides and stuff open at the time. We used to go to Williamsburg 3-4 times a year, we went back about 4 years ago for the first time, hadn't changed. Which is a good thing

Its funny how that works here in Virginia People from the Beach come to the Mountains to get away and People from the Mountains go to the Beach. I do not remember busch gardens when it was small it hase some realy nice roller coasters now and the best food of any theme park I have ever been too. If you ever go You have to try the mesquite Grilled Ribs They are they best Ihave ever had. Any way Im looking forward to it. I don' tdo much golfing I have played a few time but I think I like driving the golf cart better than the ball (It goes straigher) My yonger brother is realy good though he shoots consitant 80's and 90's While im some where in the 200 range. I almost got a hole in one one time Unfortunatly it was on the next green over not the one I was shooting for. Oh well Its a fun game any way! But I think Ill stick to the toadstool tour!

BTW: Hitman contracts is a cool game THere now this post is relavent!

It's funny you mentioned the ribs. The one thing we do when we go to Washington (and a main reason we go) is to go to Mike's American Grill in Springfield. If you get off the Beltway onto 95 south, it is the first exit (Olde Keene Mill Road, I believe), turn right go down a couple blocks to Backlick and turn right again go about a 1/4 mile on the left. It is worth stopping. They have some of the best ribs I ever had, and I've eaten at most of the BBQ joints in KC. Just as good as KC. I recommend going either at lunch time/afternoon or doing the call ahead seating, otherwise you will wait a good hour to hour and a half. If you do dinner call when you are within about 45 minutes and they will put your name on the list. Lunch has very little wait. They have a couple other restaurants listed on the site, from what I've heard, they are the same menu, so if they are closer, you might try them. Never been to either of those.

Great atmosphere in a fixed up warehouse, worth the trip:

edit 1 - I see their lunch menu doesn't have the ribs, but they do sell them at lunch
