Hi ... I have a famliy member laptop ( Toshiba Satellite A100 ) that I am trying to fix . I am stuck at this problem . First off the hard drive die on it and I bough a new drive , so I replace the drive with this new drive but I can't use the product recovery disk to install Windows ..
I try to load it but it wouldn't load . ( Bios ) was set at the correct boot order . So now I bough an OEM Windows XP Pro disk instead . So I got this loaded and working but now for some reason the battery wouldn't work .I can charge it up to full 100% power but it wouldn't boot . Its funny because it will work sometimes but most of the time it wouldn't . There no problems with using the power cord adapter . I try moving the battery from its slot ( In and Out ) but that doesn't work either . Does anyone have ANY idea as to what might be the cause of the problem .
Pleas any input is better than none at all ...There no yellow exclamation marks in the Devise Manager .
