ASUS EEE 1004DN With DVD-Burner

SlashGear is reporting this morning that ASUS plans to launch a new version of their 10" EEE which is to include a DVD burner, with a price of $531-590 in mid-April. It will also have an Expresscard Slot, 3 x USB 2.0, WiFi, Bluetooth, and a 8-in-1 media card reader.

It had been seen at CES earlier this year but was expected to be released in China and Europe only until it was found to have been submitted to the FCC for clearance.

They bang on the optical drive and the price drop - the only 2 things to my observation - to attract new customers

Yes, comparing to some of the current 10" that they are selling. I would say a good 15-20% discount.
