hp dv5- 1003nr dark video screen

Hi,

I just bought the HP Pavillion dv5- 1003nr from my brother-in-law. The video screen is too dark and I always have to brighten up by using the fn+f8 keys.

Is there any permanent settings once it is set how I wanted??
I kept brighten up the video screen whenever I use it.

when does it become dark again? after you shut it down and restart it? or in the middle of use?

Whenever I use it by turning it on. In general, it is darker than I like and very annoying that I had to brighten up the screen.

Check and review your power settings scheme and the level of lcd brightness, in personalisation?
