Sony® Notebook Setup utility

I know that my notebook came with the Sony® Notebook Setup utility program but I lost this recovery disks that came with this notebook so I did have to buy Windows XP Home and did a clean installation of it. I did get the drivers from esupport.sony.com but I can't find the Sony Notebook Setup utility program.

Does anyone know how I can download this and install this on my notebook? It's a program that tells the specs of my PC.


My notebook model is: PCG-R505ESP

It's not located on the sony support site? Thats the only place where I would think it would be.

It says that that version of the program is old. Also it says that the program is for different model but I still was able to select the model PCG-R505 series from the list.

Could someone please help me find a newer version of this program so it will tell me the right information since it kinda isn't really telling me the right infos. Probley since it's an older version.

I have already installed that but that doesn't install the Sony Notebook Setup utility. That installs something totaly different. Basicaly I have already downloaded everything that is avaible to download on the driver page on sony.com but still theSony Notebook Setup utility is missing. I think we might have to find this program for a different notebook but that will work correctly on mine since Sony doesn't have the program to download it on the driver page.

It's really strange that Sony didn't put this file to download since other notebooks I see you can download this. I know though for a fact that this notebook had this program but since I don't have the recovery disks I can't install them.

I have done that already but they said that they don't have that program on there website to download. I can only think that the way to get this is find the one that works on this notebook even it was not on the drivers for my notebook.
