Here's my laptop's spec :

  • Intel Core 2 Duo T6400 processor.
  • 2.0GHz processor speed.
  • 2MB cache.
  • 4GB DDR2 RAM.
  • Nvidia GeForce 9600M GT graphics card.
  • 1GB graphics memory.

Now my question is how well it can run games like crysis and gta 4??

Yes to Crysis, GTA4 I have no idea. Click the link in my sig well you are using that laptop and it will give you a quick down and dirty check of what you can run.

It should be able to handle those games at medium settings, but probably won't be able to handle them at high settings.

Most laptops can't handle Crysis on High.

The amount of graphics memory that a given card can utilize is different for each card. The 9600M GT is a "performance" card according to Nvidia's descriptions, which means it will likely be able to use most or all of 512MB, but probably won't be able to use all of 1GB. In other words, you may see some performance increases over the 512MB version, but they're likely to be small.

At the resolutions you will be forced to play at, the extra memory will do you no good.

Your processor is a bit slow for these days. Most new games seem to be CPU-intensive. That said, if you are pushing against the budget, I always prefer a good GPU-budget CPU combo over good CPU-budget GPU combo.
