Can't Write DVD's

I'm trying to burn a DVD with my 51m, the problem is that NERO won't even recognize that there is a disc in the drive...I noticed that NERO says i need a DVD+R disc and I have DVD-R discs....does anyone know the diffrence?

DVD +, and DVD -, are different formats. Is this DVD burner you have a +/- drive or both? I have at my office DVD -, burner that only takes DVD-R or DVD-RW. The DVD+R, or DVD+RW won't work in that burner.

Just my 2cents.

yeah you need discs that match the burner hence -/+ unless u got a dual format u are SOL go back and buy the right kind
