Well i think the title says it all....but as my first post on this forum, i hope i get some good news (i think i wasted 53 bucks though) I bought dawn of war 2 (I know i know lag fest) and suprise, suprise it lags like mad for no reason the graphic's are nothing compared to call of duty 4 which gives me no problems what so ever....my specs are

Asus g1 Gameing laptop

Intel Core 2 cpu t7200 @g.00ghz
2gb of Ram
Nvida Geforce go 7700 (I think this is the problem)
Windows XP Media Center Edition
Service pack 2.

Im pretty sure my video card is the problem since i need the following specs for the game (I can run it with out crashing it just lags @_@)

the needs

xp or vista
3.2ghz processor or any duel core
1gb ram
Nividia 6600 gt or better video card

If anyone has any advice how i can fix my lag problem it would be great, even know i get the feeling i may need to somehow replace this things video card (Can i even do that with the g1??)

You'll be able to run it... but it won't be at high or even medium settings. go 7700 is a pretty weak card for that graphics hog monster. Can you even get into the game?

yup im half way through the game to be exact. the graphics in game are about the same as warcraft 3, and the in game movies are the only things that arnt slow....its rather messed up to be honest.

What settings do you have the game set to?

Do you have other stuff running in the background while you play? That could be causing some lag. If so, try turning off some of your background programs (antivirus, etc.) while you're playing.

i had it on the auto-seting i just set it to low and now i cant connect to windows live gameing to test it! (Dont you just love buggy game systems?) and i have only msn open. But once more the Cut-scenes do not lag its only the game play, which once more is not as good as cod 4 which i run fine graphic wise....

Does it run through an internet connection? If so, that's probably your issue- your internet connection isn't fast enough to handle it.

You dont have to use LIVE for games as long as you dont care about achievements
