TV Tuner

Hi,
I've tried TV Tuner function on 8887... it's awesome... I think the picture quality look the best on WinDVR 2.0 . You might want to try it out....
I have several questions to ask you guys...
1) In Device Manager, when I double click on AverMedia, AverTV WDM Audio Capture. The device status is "No drivers are install for this device" . Is this common for everyone?
2) Is the sound from TV card connect to Aux channel on Sound card?
3) When I play TV, sound is too soft.... I think there have to be some way to make sound louder... I push sound all the way up both Volume Control and Aux, but no use. I have to push volume on my speaker all the way up to hear it.
4) When you are recording TV program, do you choose Line in or Aux channel?

Thanks,

No on mine there's a TV tuner in the sound display. You might have to go into options and select it.

Hi, thanks for the fast reply...
I have a TV Tuner in sound display also... but it won't do anything... I mean when I move the bar in sound control... sound from TV didn't change. But when I move Aux bar, sound is changing.
It seem in my configuration sound from TV card is connect to Aux channel on sound card... I'm not sure what am I doing wrong...
Any idea?

Thanks,

Then I'm doing the same thing wrong. When I set mine to TV Studio in record settings, I get no sound. When I select Aux, I get sound in the recording. Even with Aux record set to max as well as Aux and Master Playback set to max, my playback volume is BARELY acceptible. Are there any registry settings I can change?

I had the same problem. You have to go into your audio control from the speaker icon. Then go to file/advanced controls. You will notice that there is now an "advanced" button under the main sound control, click it. Under Other Controls check off "1 loudness". That helps. But everything else on your computer will be super loud. Hope that helps.

Now I have a question. My tuner prevents me from recording in vcr mode. I get a "report error" message on WinXP pro about the WDM. I reinstalled drivers and software like 5 time. What now, any ideas.
