gw t-6321 serial number digits missing

I purchased a gw t-6321 from office depot last may.
It died(power - no screen). Attemped to call gw support. I cannot see the serival number - first two chars are scratced off.

Any ideas on what they may be?

No chance. Contact Office Depot, no matter how long ago you have bought it, as long as you are the sole owner since then. Good lucks.

Contacted office depot and they dont retain the serial number.
This is a chicken and egg problem....gw will not do anything without the sn!

I would push hard on Office Depot. Use the original invoice and pound them on it. I would not personally accept their excuse for not retaining the serial number.

We can't blame Gateway or any other manufacturers for not doing anything, when there is no serial number available :-(
