mx7118 backlight flicker

Thread Starter
The backlight for my laptop is flickering. It has been doing it for a while and I thought we had fixed it but apparently we haven't because now it's getting worse. Currently, I have the keyboard bezel popped off because the power ribbon cable went bad, so nothing there is pinching or otherwise crimping any of the wires. When you touch the wire on the left side of the monitor coming from the board it directly affects the flickering. Wiggling this worked at first, as I only had to push it in once and it would stay lit for awhile, but now I have to constantly fiddle with it if I want to see my screen. What is that wire connected to and what do I need to buy to replace it? My husband can do it, he just isn't 100% sure what part to get. We have never been able to find a diagram or schematics for this machine and have had alot of problems with it.

Pics? Are you sure that it is not the whole cable, going from the LCD to the board? LCD Cable.
