Have just brought my travelmate to the service center for reloading the default o/s, and been charged for $50+......this is resolved.
But realize that after reloading the o/s by Acer, another problem appear, which the battery not able to get it charged. Initially, it shows "93% remaining. Maximum Performance", and then dropping from 93% to 0%.
I called up Acer again, and they said reloading of o/s will not affect the battery...!!!???
No other choice, need to purchase a new battery, but Acer said no stock and nned to wait for 4 weeks.

I went to authorized dealer for assistance, and managed to purchase a compatible one, though not original, but it work.......only for 3days, and same problem appear as mentioned above, dropping from 100% to 0%, and no longer able to get it charged again, though when plugged in ac power adaptor, it works, and the systray indictor keep showing charging, and is not.
Going to get crazy....I realize Acer only interested with those which are still under warranty, and after warranty, they tried to play "punk"! The reason I said in this way is becoz my own experience with Acer for many years....10 years ago, my first laptop, extensa running on windows98, and then gone case after 3 years, and then I got the travelmate 8104, and that's the best, for 5 years, and then trying to upgrade to travelmate 8215 with trade-in...till now, I have experienced 3 laptops from Acer service center, during the 1st year, definitely, it won't cause much problems, and if yes, they will resolve for you fast. However, most of the problems started after the warranty period, and they do not seems to provide the "Good" service as in warranty, every little single small issue will be CHARGEABLE, and their thinking is "Take it or Leave it!"........

My apologies for the nagging abovementioned, as it is really frustating what I am encountering now. Just paid to reload the o/s but after that battery problems.
Anybody encounter battery not charging issue similar as mine? And what's the solutions or alternatives? As I do not wish to spend so much $$$$ on Acer, I rathered get it repaired from other pc/laptop repair center, as they can be negotiated.
I heard from HP that flash the BIOS to the latest version will fix most of the bugs and issues, and so I download the latest v3521, and flash it, but still the same, and my second new battery got spoit, not working at all now, need to get another replacement....
Pls assist and advise. Many Thanks.
