Hi, I've had this Dell 9400 for 3 yrs now, and I've never had a problem with watching AVI movies using AVI player! Recently I've had problems with the movie pixelating from scene to scene. I've uninstalled the AVI player and reinstalled it. I've also tried Realplayer and WMP. but they all have the same result! I can watch a dvd with no problems, it's just downloaded movies. I watched an AVI movie a couple of weeks ago with dvd quality, and when I tried to watch it again recenltly I had the same problem...(pixelating)Any help would be appreciated..Thanks...

3 factors come to mind other than trying other players.
1. Update your codecs or use a player that has them built in such as VLC (www.videolan.org
2. Update your videocard driver to ensure your getting proper H.264 playback for AVIs
3. Make sure its not the video itself by trying something older that always use to play
And does this happen to things other than AVI files such as online flash video such as youtube? what about Quicktime files which you can see at quicktime.com
