You should be able to adjust that in your operating system, so you don't need to do it in BIOS.

Ok it says that i'm using 256Mb but i want more, and the is not any scroll to increase the size of the shared memory. Are u sure that if the Bios is set on 64Mb doesen't afect that?

it's probably dynamic. will take up to 256MB of video memory if available. however you probably cannot specify a fixed size unless the bios let's you.

When you posted "it says", what is the "it"? Windows Vista & Windows 7 can use extra system memory to add to video memory, so if the system was designed for one of those, the inflated number may only apply if you're using one of those operating systems.

i have the very same problem .... i can't change the dedicated VRAM (which is already 64MB) to the maximum allowed (789MB) or even change it to any other capacity...

i don't know how to change it in OS ... i tried to change it in the setup but it was locked, i would be happy if u help me change it.

if it is impossible there would be a question...

why should ACER attach an 1gig VRAM to the laptop when it's useless and is unchangable :|

Try running a heavy vid app and see if the VRAM changes. That is what it is designed to do, expanding the size when/as needed (not manually)

cheers ...
