Need help in removing Aspire 6530G HDD cage.

Hi Guys..

Need help from you gurus.. I wanna swap out my current hdd for a SSD. But problem is the HDD cage is sort of lock. It not like the usual HDD cage as there is 2 piece of metal slottin into the main case.. anyway to remove.. suspect cover by KB

this one should have a normal sata drive. remove the drive by pulling up on the plastic tab attached to the hdd cady.

remove the screws from the caddy to remove the hdd. and the hdd should have an adapter attached. with the drive vertical, the adapter should just pull up and off.

Thank for the prompt reply.. I have chg quite a few HDD but this one is really a P(*& in the #$%, I have unscrew the screw holding the drive to the cage.. No problem with that.. just when i pull on the tab attached to the cage. I wont come off.. then i found out that the cage is different.. a the rear end of the cage it has 2 metal pieces protuding out.. and they slot into diretly into the case... hence u can lift it up to less then 45 degree then it will be block by the HDD.. anything more then ard 45degree will cause the cage to push against the hdd hence against the sata port..

Oftentimes they can be found on EBay and there used to be other (pay for) sites on the net. Nothing freebie I am afraid that I am aware of

unfortunately.. i found the service manual. But it seems acer did some modification to the HDD CAGE..
