Amilo M6450G RAM upgrade. Laptop won't start up

Thread Starter
I've recently upgraded my laptop from 512MB of RAM to 2G RAM and after installing the modules and attempting to start up my laptop nothing happens. The power light comes on, along with the caps lock, num lock and scroll lock lights and the fan starts up as usual but thats it. Nothing appears on the screen and there are a few beeps, but nothing out of the ordinary.

Can any of you guys help me out? Anything you can do to try help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys

I got it sorted, turns out i hadn't the modules seated properly. I was being too cautious when i put them in so the pins weren't making proper contact.

Amilo M6450G - RAM Upgrade

Sir, Its very simple,

According to Tech. Specs. of your machine it CAN be upgraded to 1 GB ONLY not 2.

TIP : Always use 2 equal RAM chips in both slots to keep the system board balanced.

Warning : make sure Battery & power cable is unpluged before you open the Memory Door. Take memory out with fingers only, NOT screwdriver.

Feel free to ask if you have any other question.

Good Luck !
