A few weeks ago rumors surfaced of 2 new Intel Atom processors and in celebration of the Atom's one-year anniversary Intel has officially unveiled them, the Z550 and the Z515. As earlier reported the two new additions run at 2 GHz for the Z550 and dynamic switching between 800 MHz and 1.2 GHz for the Z515.

They also took this opportunity to unveil their new Moorestown platform. What's so great about Moorestown? Well amongst other things it reduces idle power consumption 10-fold, but it likely won't be until 2010 that we see a Moorestown based system.
