P-6831FX not detecting lid position

Not sure where the sensor for the lid is located to check/replace it. System is not picking up on the condition of whether the lid is open or closed. Wondering how much disassembly is required to get to it.

The lid sensor might be underneath the power bezel, some sort of magnetic like the Dells

Yep... I have been through most of the diagrams and just didn't see any mention of the sensor. Trying to pin it down before I open it up. Rather know where I am going than just hunting around.

Just an observation, on man Dells, the sensor is within the LCD frame. This will be an easy check.

not sure on this one, I do know the magnet is in the lcd bezel, however the actual switch is on the mainboard I believe
