Title: This is WEIRD (correction)

My Old laptop Inspiron 9300 with GF Go 6800 card in it. + Running Vista Home 32bit + Driver 185.68 DOX

Currently I overclocked to 390Mhz Core / 1500Mhz (750Mhz) Mem.

I ran so many test through games and stress 3D programs. The programs I use to check the temp is GPU-Z and I8KFanGUI. Both reports a slight different temp about 1-2 degree off.

My temperature are in Celsius so normal idle is 45-50'C.
In Gaming or Stress test my Temperature max at:

350Mhz Core / 1400Mhz (700Mhz) Mem @ 70'C
390Mhz Core / 1440Mhz (720Mhz) Mem @ 71'C
390Mhz Core / 1500Mhz (750Mhz) Mem @ 71'C

My temperature won't gain at all (I don't wish it gain anyways) but I'm saying why or no matter how high I clock it, it still runable without glitch. This is so weird.

Thanks, any thoughts?

Its often the case that your peak overclock occurs simply because the card cannot be pushed any harder, not that the temperatures are too high. Also, yeah the temperature to frequency ratio is not 1-1.
