Graphics modes, dv5t, dv6t

From what I can tell from the HP website, the current version offered for the dv5t, called dv5tse (special edition), does not have an option for higher resolution graphics mode than WXGA (1280x800). However, it apparently used to have the option for WXGA+.
The website shows the 16" dv6t as offering only 1366x768 resolution. I think that's the 16:9 version of 1280x800 which is 16:10 aspect. Is that right?
Is this correct? Does one have to go to a 17" model on the HP lines to get WXGA+ or higher resolution?

One does not have to go to a higher screen size to get a higher resolution.

dv5t

Thanks. I looked at the HP site again, and went through a possible configuration that included WSXGA+.

The HP site is fairly well designed, as I would expect. I have found the ASUS site to be difficult though, and buggy.

Glad that you found what you looked for. Some manufacturers configurations are a challenge to navigate, for sure.
