problem with my 2200c

Hello, i have a problem with my 2200c, the notebook on startup go in stand-by mode, i have read the manual and i have push the power button for four seconds but the nootebook go in off mode, all that time go in stand-by mode. Please help me , there is a mode for restar my notebook ???? (i have recently installed win xp it's a problem ???. Thank you (excuse me for my bad english but i'm italian. bye

Some Sager/Clevo notebooks can also be reset (BIOS) by removing the battery and holding the power button for a certain amount of time (30 seconds? I am not sure).

It may not work for your model. Does your Owner's Manual (or User Guide) say anything about resetting the BIOS?

It could also mean that the battery is dead - does this standby happen when you are plugged into a wall outlet?

WIN-XP has a function that controls what the power button does. I think that it is controlled under power management. Make sure it is set to be On/Off and not Suspend or something like that.
