Here's another possibility, to make the March Madness scheme more palatable.

Put money behind it.

That is, let people bet credits on their pick, and they win local pots (each first-round poll) if their pick wins that poll, and the final selection has the biggest pot of all.

Oh, and anyone caught trying to cheat the system (i.e. alts voting) loses all credits they bet in the pot.

That could be interesting. I think we should set up a poll to see everyone's opinion. Oh, and I think you should send me your credits for, uh, safekeeping.

Placing bets isnt a bad idea until someone just PM 20 of the 21 people who actually voted and cooks up some scheme.

Yall are making a mountain out of a mole hill. Really I know we are trying to get more people to vote but there is 1k plus people on right now, and over the last few days only 21 people have voted (really trying to not belittle the work of the mods and admins)

I see the main amount of people who are interested and have a vested interest in this are the usual suspects, i.e. OT posters, admins, mods and a few loons from out in *gasp* other thread land.................

So I know we cannot make the site for just a few hundred of us that really actually do care, but lets not make this more complicated than it has to be, you have people like Darq who curl up in a fetal position anytime some one asks him to do math..........Hey Pookie whats 2+2...............see there he goes.

Unfortunately, that would require starting another poll, which I really want to avoid if possible. In the event of a tie, we can look back and see if one of the tied options had more "unvoted" support than the other.
