Booo #9, ther are all kinds of laptop/hardware sites, a nondescript laptop does nothing for the site, NBF icons convey strong branding!

Switch my vote to #3, and my 2 alt's to #3 as well please. tie, runoff

For the time being can we please remove the animated icon so I can add the site back to my fav bar, I think the poll and the nature of the topic has at least subjected that the animated icon is not going to be the one that stays.

The thing is...if you look at it like I did, you should have picked between 3 or 4 because the total votes for a favicon with the initials actually had more votes then the image of a laptop. I don't know of anyone who doesn't use their own initials or some sort of "official logo" in their favicon. Just my 2c. I'm just glad to see the animated one go.

Well, if you look at it like I did, people were really bent over the animated favicon, the new one won't be animated anymore. That should be seen as good. Now if anyone wants to start a new effort to somehow try to get more that 22 of the 170,388* registered members to care enough to vote ....

the problem with that is that it would require multiple polls to narrow it down and as joatmon so eloquently put it,

Yeah, I would agree.

I also am going to throw out there that I've been an active member here for over 4 years and I had rarely (meaning, no more then 5 times) have visited the "Off Topic" thread. The only reason I came this time was to make the original post that started this all, lol. ::shrugs::

Not working for me. I still have the old one. I also never got to see the animated one(didn't work in Chrome). Is it possible that the none animated input for the favicon on this site is still the none animated version of the old one.

Not that big of a deal for me, just thought you may want to know.
