Professor Needs Notebook Wiz

i had a MacBook Pro for 4 years and it has fallen apart. It does not close witrhout having to forcefully pushing down on the top sides of lid. It bowed when I purchased it but the apple store said it was a normal "range" of bowing. I picked the notebook up about a year ago and the display (LCD) cracked and gradually split into tiny pieaces of glass like the old etch & sketch (which most of you are too young to remember.

I need a plain but tough, 300 HD or larger, 7200 speed or faster 65 gb ram (yes I need this because I had to find out the hard way with all the academic program I need, 3-4 USB ports, ethewrnet, wifi and just the best ability to get on the iinternet, CD/DVD RW/W+/- good battery life, no games, no picture stuff, good anti virus, spyware program, no or as minimal adware, no games (disd I say that) as possible.

Prefer a machine made out of carbon titanium, or something as durable. I looked at the Lenovos but got lost with what was what because my knowlede in this area is very limited. Most kids know more than I do.

Thanks in advance. Sorry for the typos. I am falling asleep. :-)

Hi Kooler. Why the new account?

I'd recommend the Lenovo T400. It should be almost ideal for you.
