COD: World at War Question

How do you throw a satchel charge? The instruction says press 5 to select satchel charge, press F to throw and press left mouse button to charge. When I press F, nothing happens and when I press the shoot button, the device I'm holding just cranks up/spin.

You may have remapped your controls. Go into your settings and look to see what it's set to.
