Hy,

I´m a clevo M520N owner (chipset intel 945GM + ICH7) and i upgrade my memory to 4GB (2x2gb) ddr2-776 kinston modules.

in the BIOS and in the system tools (windows 7 BUILD 7057 - 32bits) , it just recognize 3GB but in the CPU-Z program it says 4gb.

Is there any way to make win recognize and "USE" the hole memory?

thanks!

Your OS is your limitation being only 32bit. That being said I don't know anything about that machine and there may be other limitations as well... But probably just the OS

OK, I just saw the pics that you posted. I don't know if you have a problem in the BIOS or not. Supposing that your laptop can handle the 4GB, now you need the 64bits version of Windows in order for it to be able to use all the RAM.

Ok, I admittedly haven't read this whole post but as users have said, your OS could be a limitation. However, this does not even matter as your chipset is 32-bit. You will not be able to use more than 3.25 GB of RAM in ANY operating system. So no matter what you do to your BIOS or OS, you cannot change this because its the motherboard at "fault."

Sometimes I get lazy. Its like when those contestants answer the question before the host gets done reading it.

Looking at your screenshots, you're on a 32bit version of windows 7 and your CPU doesnt even support 64bit operating systems. You cant use all your RAM.

I wish guys could read as little and give such good advice! A 64bit OS won't help as chipset does not support.
